Protein Function:
Acts as a chaperone during the assembly of the 26S proteasome, specifically of the base subcomplex of the PA700/19S regulatory complex (RC). During the base subcomplex assembly is part of an intermediate PSMD9:PSMC6:PSMC3 module, also known as modulator trimer complex; PSMD9 is released during the further base assembly process.

Human SiHa cell was fixed with 2% paraformaldehyde (10 min) ,
permeabilised with 0.1% BSA-Triton X-100, then stained with 20 µg/mL PSMD9 Antibody (Ab123714) (red histogram) or Isotype control antibody (green histogram), followed by 1 µg/mL FITC-conjugated Anti-rabbit IgG Secondary Antibody.

IF analysis of PSMD9 Antibody (Ab123714) in HeLa cells. The cells were fixed and permeabilized with 100% methanol for 5 minutes, and blocked with 5% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature. Cells were stained with PSMD9 Antibody (Ab123714) at 1/200 dilution in blocking buffer overnight at 4°C, and then incubated with Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (AF647) (Ab181958) at a dilution of 1/1000 for 1 hour at room temperature in the dark (red). Cells were counterstained with DAPI (blue).
