Overview
SSC Buffer is primarily composed of sodium chloride and sodium citrate. It is suitable for various nucleic acid hybridization experiments, including RNA hybridization (Northern blot) and DNA hybridization (Southern blot).
SSC Buffer (20×, pH 7.4) is a concentrated buffer with a pH of approximately 7.4. It should be diluted to a 1× working solution before use and is a commonly used buffer system in nucleic acid hybridization experiments.
This reagent is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures or other purposes.
Procedure (For Reference Only)
According to experimental requirements, take an appropriate amount of SSC Buffer (20×, pH 7.4) and dilute to 1× with deionized water or distilled water before use.
Notes
If the single-use volume is small, it is recommended to aliquot the reagent before use to reduce the risk of contamination and repeated freezing and thawing.
Please wear laboratory appropriate attire and disposable gloves during operation to ensure experimental safety.
Use the reagent as soon as possible after opening and keep it sealed to avoid affecting subsequent experimental results.
