Overview

Monodisperse latex microspheres are prepared by conjugating chromophoric groups onto the surface or matrix of polystyrene microspheres.Latex microspheres exhibit characteristics such as vibrant colors, stable performance, and narrow particle size distribution, making them widely applicable in various detection applications including microscopic analysis, immunoassays, and agglutination reactions.
Properties
This product is a white solid in block form, which can be uniformly dispersed in aqueous solution to form a white emulsion suspension.Polystyrene microspheres exhibit smooth surfaces with strong hydrophobicity. The addition of ethanol reduces surface tension, facilitating dispersion, while ultrasonication also enhances dispersion.
Description
Monodisperse polystyrene microspheres exhibit uniform particle size distribution and high purity, making them suitable for applications in microscopy, cytometry, biomedicine, filtration detection, and flow mechanism research.
Used to test the performance of precision particle size analyzers and particle counters.
Monodisperse polystyrene latex particles are also used to calibrate:
Size-based Airy disk first fringe (ADFF) analysis
Aerosol analyzers
Precautions
1 polystyrene microspheres soluble in acetone, chloroform, tetrahydrofuran and the like organic solvents, therefore, can not be mixed with the reagent.
2 Operating temperature should not exceed 100 ℃, melting polystyrene microspheres to prevent deformation or bonded into a group.
3.Do not orally, if accidentally spilled on the skin or eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
Specifications

  Polystyrene microspheres loaded 5ml of deionized water - ethanol (1:1, v / v) emulsion, solid content 2.5% (w / v).
