Belnacasan (VX-765) es un proagente oral bioactivo de VRT-043198, que es un inhibidor potente y selectivo de la enzima convertidora de IL (ICE)/caspasa-1 con Kis de 0,8 nM y menos de 0,6 nM para caspasa-1 y caspasa-4, respectivamente.
