Overview

ELISA Blocking Buffer (5% BSA) is mainly composed of disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, BSA, and preservatives. It is designed for blocking 96‑well plates or other solid-phase carriers in ELISA assays. This product is intended for research use only and is not suitable for clinical diagnosis or other purposes.

Procedure (for reference only)

1. Coat the 96‑well plate as required and wash with ELISA washing buffer.

2. Block the coated plate (or other solid-phase carrier) with ELISA Blocking Buffer (5% BSA). Typically, incubate at 37 °C for 1–2 h.

3. After blocking, wash the plate three times. Tap the plate dry, seal it, and store at 4 °C.

4. Proceed with primary antibody, secondary antibody, and subsequent steps according to experimental needs.

5. Add the prepared chromogenic substrate and incubate at 37 °C for about 10 minutes.

6. Terminate the reaction by adding ELISA stop solution.

Precautions

1. Store tightly sealed. Once opened, the shelf life will be significantly shortened.

2. ELISA Blocking Buffer (5% BSA) is supplied at a high concentration and can be diluted with PBS before use if needed.

3. Because the reagent contains nutrients, maintain aseptic handling to avoid contamination.

4. Use promptly after opening to prevent any impact on subsequent experimental performance.
