Overview

Fructose 1,6-bisphosphate (FBP/FDP) is an intermediate product in the glycolytic pathway. It functions to regulate the activity of certain enzymes in sugar metabolism and serves as a molecular-level drug for restoring and improving cellular metabolism. Consequently, it is widely used in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and cosmetic industries. This kit provides a simple, sensitive, and rapid assay method: Fructose 1,6-bisphosphate (FDP) is converted into two molecules of dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP) under the action of aldolase (ALD) and triosephosphate isomerase (TIM). Subsequently, DHAP oxidizes NADH in the presence of glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GDH). The content of fructose 1,6-bisphosphate (FDP) can be calculated by measuring the decrease in NADH at 340 nm.
