This product is a special immersion preservation solution for fungal specimens, which is mainly compounded from formalin, ethanol and buffer components. It can quickly fix fungal specimens (including molds, yeasts and various fungal colonies and mycelia), effectively inhibit fungal reproduction, prevent specimen decay and deterioration, and maintain the complete morphology of specimens. It is suitable for long-term immersion preservation of fungal specimens in scientific research experiments, and is for research use only. It is not applicable to clinical diagnosis, medical treatment and food-related purposes.
Operating Steps (For Reference Only):
1. Specimen Pretreatment: After collecting fresh fungal specimens, gently rinse the surface impurities with sterile water, remove the rotten and damaged parts, trim them to a suitable size (easy to put into the specimen bottle), and drain the surface water.
2. Bottling and Immersion: Place the treated fungal specimens into a dry and clean glass specimen bottle, slowly pour this product into the bottle, ensure that the specimens are completely immersed in the preservation solution, and the liquid level should be 1-2 cm higher than the top of the specimens to avoid exposure of the specimens to air.
3. Sealing and Labeling: Tightly cover the sealing cap of the specimen bottle, label the bottle with a label paper indicating the specimen name, collection time, collection location and serial number, and stick it on a prominent position of the bottle body.
4. Preservation: Store the sealed specimen bottle in a room temperature and dark environment, avoid direct sunlight, high temperature and violent shaking.
Precautions:
1. Specimens must be completely immersed in the preservation solution. If the preservation solution volatilizes and the liquid level drops during preservation, fresh preservation solution should be added in time to ensure that the specimens are always in an immersed state.
2. This product should not be mixed with strong oxidants and alkaline substances to avoid chemical reactions that affect the preservation effect.
3. The glass specimen bottle should be kept clean and dry to avoid impurities mixing into the preservation solution, which may cause specimen contamination and deterioration.
4. This product is a scientific research special reagent, and it is strictly forbidden to use it for human, animal and food-related operations. Waste reagents and used specimens should be properly disposed of in accordance with the laboratory hazardous waste disposal specifications, and shall not be discarded at will.
5. Please use this product as soon as possible after opening. The remaining reagent should be sealed and stored to avoid volatilization and failure.
