Overview
This kit employs an LDH‑GPT coupled colorimetric method for the rapid determination of lactate content. Lactate is catalyzed by lactate dehydrogenase to generate pyruvate and NADH; the added glutamate‑pyruvate transaminase (GPT) decomposes pyruvate, driving the reaction equilibrium forward and ensuring continuous NADH production. The NADH then reacts with a chromogenic reagent to form a colored product with a characteristic absorption peak at 450 nm. The increase in absorbance is proportional to the lactate content, enabling quantitative detection. Abnormal lactate levels are closely associated with diseases such as diabetes mellitus and acidosis; this method can provide a reference basis for clinical diagnosis.
