ITS-X Media Supplement is used as a basal medium additive to reduce the required amount of fetal bovine serum (FBS) for cell culture. Typically combined with 2–4% FBS, it supports the culture of cell types that require ethanolamine, such as bronchial epithelial cells. We also supply ITS-G and ITS-A Media Supplement.

Insulin promotes the uptake of glucose and amino acids, lipogenesis, intracellular transport, and the synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids. Transferrin acts as an iron carrier and helps mitigate the toxicity of oxygen free radicals and peroxides. Selenium, provided in the form of sodium selenite, functions as a cofactor for glutathione peroxidase and other proteins, and serves as an antioxidant in culture media. Ethanolamine is a precursor of phosphoglycerides and is vital for maintaining the structure of plasma membranes and organelles.

Instructions for Use:

Add this product to the medium at a dilution ratio of 100×. One bottle can prepare 1 liter of culture medium. Supplement the medium with 2%–4% fetal bovine serum (FBS) at the early stage of culture. The FBS concentration can be lowered further after cell adaptation.

Precautions:

1. This product is sterilized via filtration with a 0.22 μm membrane.

2. Perform strict aseptic operations during use to prevent contamination.

3. This is a 100× concentrated solution. Dilute it as required before application.

4. For research use only. Not for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
