β-1,3-Galactosyltransferase (CgtB), EC 2.4.1.62, is derived from Campylobacter jejuni. This enzyme transfers galactose (Gal) to N‑acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) and oligosaccharides with GalNAc at the non‑reducing end via a β‑1,3‑glycosidic linkage. This product is recombinantly expressed in Escherichia coli with high enzymatic activity.
Recommended Reaction Equation
GalNAc + UDP‑Gal → Gal(β1‑3)GalNAc + UDP
Usage Instructions
Add substrates to the reaction system together with 5 mM MgCl₂. Appropriate buffer salts such as Tris‑HCl may be supplemented to adjust the pH to 7.5, then add an appropriate amount of CgtB according to reaction requirements.
After mixing, incubate the sample at 37 °C for 2–4 hours or overnight.
Note: For scaled‑up reactions, incubation time or enzyme dosage should be adjusted according to practical conditions; low‑speed shaking can be used for homogenization.
Precautions
For your safety and health, wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation. This product is for research use only.
