Used in the preparation of silyl fluorosulfonyldifluoroacetate as new highly efficient difluorocarbene reagent for cyclopropanation of alkenes. Regio- and stereoselective free radical fluoroalkylation of terminal alkenes and alkynes with iododifluoromethanesulfonamides.
