Overview

Product introduction:

Natural silk mainly contains two kinds of proteins, silk fibroin and sericin. The content of silk fibroin is about 70% - 80% of the silk. It contains 18 kinds of amino acids, and glycine (Gly), alanine (Ala) and serine (Ser) account for more than 80% of all amino acids. As a structural protein, silk fibroin has good hydrophilicity, stability, biocompatibility, biodegradability and bioabsorbability, and has important application value in the biomedical field. After different treatment, different forms can be obtained, such as fiber, solution, powder, membrane and gel.

Ingredients: silk fibroin, protein content>95%

Color: white

Status: solid powder

Molecular weight of protein: average molecular weight is 100-150kDa

Protein stability: The solid powder is stable under normal temperature and dry conditions. It needs to be used in time after preparation of solution. If it is placed for a long time, it will become gelatinous.

Remarks: protein content>95%, non-sterile, for scientific research

Purpose:

The natural silk protein derived from silk fiber has shown new application potential in many fields such as textile industry, biomedicine, flexible electronic devices, skin care and beauty.

With the help of chemical modification, a variety of bioactive and responsive molecules can be coupled to silk protein, endowing silk protein with richer properties and functions and better biological activity. Chemically modified silk protein materials can not only be used to prepare viable biological scaffolds for tissue engineering repair, but also can be used as irritant response carriers for drug and vaccine delivery, or added to skin care and beauty products as functional additives, and become high-value-added biomedical raw materials.
