Overview

MEGA-8 is a water-soluble detergent with nondenaturing properties. Can be readily removed by dialysis. MEGA 8 is also a useful reagent for membrane research. N-Octanoyl-N-methylglucamine has been used in a study to assess disordered the N-terminus of PKA. It has also been used in a study to investigate the usefulness of sugar surfactants as solubilizing agents in parenteral formulations.
