Hafnium carbide is a typical transition metal carbide, powder gray, cubic crystal, and has the highest melting point among the known single compounds. It has excellent characteristics such as high melting point (3890℃), high hardness, good high-temperature strength, good corrosion resistance, and relatively low thermal conductivity.
