2S,3S)-2-Amino-3-methyl-N-[2-(4-morpholinyl)ethyl]pentanamide is used for the preparation of peptideamides for treatment of retroviral infection. This compound has neuroprotective properties.Generally used in Alzheimers Disease, Neuroprotective, Hippocampal neural progenitors. Blood brain barrier (BBB) penetrable, orally bioactive. Blocks p75-medicated cell death.Shows prominent effect against Huntington’s Disease in mice.
