Common methods for preparing genomic DNA from plant tissues include cesium chloride centrifugation and CTAB extraction. The CTAB extraction method is a classic and rapid approach for plant DNA isolation, applicable to a wide range of plant sample types. It yields relatively high amounts of DNA, though with moderate purity, which is sufficient for most molecular biology experiments. This product is a simple and rapid kit for plant nuclear DNA extraction. The procedure involves first grinding fresh plant samples to disrupt cell walls, followed by differential centrifugation to isolate and lyse the nuclei. Nuclear proteins are then precipitated and removed using organic solvents, and finally the nuclear DNA is obtained by absolute ethanol extraction. This method is convenient to operate; 0.5 g of fresh leaf tissue typically yields 5–15 μg of nuclear DNA with high purity, suitable for gene manipulation (e.g., restriction enzyme digestion) and amplification (e.g., PCR, RAPD) experiments.
