Overview
1 M LiAc (10×) is a buffer reagent for preparing competent cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Lithium ions can induce a transient competent state in yeast cells, enabling the cells to take up exogenous DNA. This product can be mixed with 10× TE buffer to prepare 1.1× TE/LiAc Solution for yeast competent cell preparation. The transformation efficiency tested with pGADT7 plasmid can reach 10⁴-10⁶ cfu per microgram of DNA.
Precautions:
1. Unopened 1 M LiAc (10×) can be stored at 4 °C for 2 years. Discontinue use if microbial contamination is observed after opening.
2. This product is intended for research purposes only. It shall not be used for medicine, clinical diagnosis and treatment, food, cosmetics or other applications, and must not be stored in residential premises.
3. Our company shall not be held responsible for any accidents arising from improper use of this product.
