What is the best way to choose between the different clone numbers of CD4?
CD4 [SK3] and CD4 [RM4-5] are used for immunophenotyping cytokines. This is because (1) PMA stimulation leads to endocytosis of CD4, and CD4 clones SK3 and RM4-5 have less effect on endocytosis. (ii) Samples need to be fixed when detecting cytokines, and the CD4-binding domains of SK3 and RM4-5 are less affected by fixatives.
