[Leu15]-Gastrin I is a variant of Gastrin I, where the 15th amino acid residue is substituted with leucine (Leu). [Leu15]-Gastrin I regulates the binding of cholecystokinin to the mucosal membrane. 
[Leu15]-Gastrin I (human) is a peptide. Gastrin exerts its function through G-protein-coupled receptor called the cholecystokinin (CCK) or CCK-B receptor (CCK-BR).
