Bovine Beta-1,4-galactosyltransferase 1 (Bovine B4GALT1) is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the glycosyltransferase family 7. It is commonly involved in the synthesis of glycoconjugates. Using β-1,4-galactosyltransferase (B4GALT1) and UDP-galactose (UDP-Gal) as the donor, in vitro galactosylation can be performed on all GlcNAc1-2Man units of complex molecules such as glycoproteins and monoclonal antibodies (mAbs).
