Overview
Gly-Phe-AMC is a synthetic dipeptide composed of glycine (Gly) and phenylalanine (Phe), and is linked to the fluorescent group AMC (7-amino-4-methylcoumarin). This structure gives it specific chemical properties and biological activities. Uses: Enzyme activity detection: Gly-Phe-AMC is a sensitive substrate for dipeptidyl aminopeptidase I (cathepsin C). Under the action of the enzyme, it can be cleaved to release the AMC fluorescent group, thereby realizing real-time monitoring of enzyme activity. This characteristic enables it to have wide applications in biochemical research, especially in enzyme activity detection and enzyme inhibitor screening. Biological research: In addition, Gly-Phe-AMC can also be used to study biological processes such as protein-protein interactions, protein modifications, and signal transduction pathways.
