Aladdin's UltraBio™ RNA Virus Direct qRT-PCR Preservation Solution is a neutral, non-inactivating solution that can be used for short-term storage and transportation of samples containing live virus, such as plasma, serum, cell-free body fluid, swab and cell culture supernatant after collection. Samples preserved in this product can be directly used for qRT-PCR without RNA isolation.UltraBio™ RNA Virus Direct qRT-PCR Preservation Solution, also called Viral Transport Medium (VTM), contains broad-spectrum antibiotics that can inhibit the growth of other microorganisms, and FBS, a protein stabilizer that can maintain the activity of virus. Viruses preserved in this product are not inactivated and can be used for culture and isolation.Virus sample stored in this product can also be used directly as templates for qRT-PCR, which greatly simplifies the nucleic acid detection of RNA viruses. The following table shows the effect of this product on the preservation of lentivirus of N-gene of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Dual Probes qRT-PCR Kit was used for qRT-PCR analysis. The number of viruses in each PCR reaction was indicated by the Infection Unit (IU). For long-term storage, samples can be stored at -80℃ in this product or preserved in UltraBio™ Viral RNA Stable Preservation Solution .R0145-100ml is sufficient for preserving 100-200 samples and R0145-500ml is sufficient for preserving 500-1000 samples.

Precautions：

Specimen collectors need to be properly protected according to the relevant requirements, and subsequent operations should be performed in a Class II biosafety cabinet, following the Class II biosafety or higher standard. Fast™ SYBR Green One-Step qRT-PCR Kit , Fast ™ Probe One-Step qRT-PCR Kit or other validated kits are recommended for direct qRT-PCR analysis of preserved samples without RNA extraction. However, due to the diversity and uncertainty of the viral samples, we recommend verifying the analysis result with isolated RNA.This product is for R&D only. Not for drug, household, or other uses.For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during the operation.

Instructions for Use：

After sample collection, put the sample directly into a sampling tube containing 0.5-1ml of this product, and then store at an appropriate temperature for future use.
