The Murine Dendritic Cell Cytokine Package contains IL-4 and GM-CSF, key components required for the culturing of murine dendritic cells. Recombinant murine IL-4 is an essential cytokine used in the differentiation and maturation of murine dendritic cell in vitro. The IL-4 protein, specifically recombinant IL-4, promotes the development of dendritic cells from precursor cells such as monocytes. Murine IL-4 acts synergistically with other factors, including GM-CSF (granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor), to drive the differentiation process. Typically, monocytes are cultured in the presence of recombinant IL-4 and GM-CSF to yield immature dendritic cells, which can then be futher matured by additional stimuli.
The package contains the following two vials:
Animal-Free Recombinant Mouse IL-4 Protein(Cat. No. rp154228)
Animal-Free Recombinant Mouse GM-CSF Protein (Cat. No. rp154039)
IL-4 is a pleiotropic cytokine that regulates diverse T- and B-cell responses including cell proliferation, survival, and gene expression. Produced by mast cells, T cells, and bone marrow stromal cells, IL-4 regulates the differentiation of naive CD4+ T cells into helper Th2 cells.
GM-CSF is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates the development of neutrophils and macrophages and promotes the proliferation and development of early erythroid megakaryocytic and eosinophilic progenitor cells.
