GRADE & PURITY Bioactive ? Bioactive grade — verified to retain biological activity in functional assays. Use when the molecule must be functionally active, not just pure. Recombinant ? Recombinant — produced via recombinant expression for defined sequence and consistency. Use for reproducible, animal-free proteins of known origin. ActiBioPure™ ? ActiBioPure™ — Aladdin's premier line for bioactive and recombinant products. Use when both high purity and preserved biological activity are required. High Performance ? High-performance grade with optimized purity and performance characteristics. Use for sensitive analyses where ordinary grades fall short. EnzymoPure™ ? EnzymoPure™ — Aladdin's line of high-quality enzymatic solutions. Use when enzyme purity and defined activity drive assay or process performance. ≥85%(SDS-PAGE) expressed in E.coli; ≥2000 U/mg protein; Protein concentration: See COA

Overview

α-2,3,6,8-Sialidase (SpNanA), E.C 3.2.1.18, derived from Streptococcus pneumoniae. It is an exo-sialidase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of sialic acids linked via α2,3, α2,6 and α2,8 glycosidic bonds. This product is recombinantly expressed in Escherichia coli with high enzymatic activity.
Reaction
Protocol
Prepare the reaction mixture containing the substrate, 5 mM MgCl₂, and optionally a buffer salt (e.g., Tris‑HCl) to adjust the pH to 6.0. Add an appropriate amount of SpNanA according to the reaction requirements.
Mix well and incubate at 37 °C for 2–4 hours or overnight.
Note: For scaled‑up reactions, the incubation time or enzyme amount may need to be adjusted based on actual conditions. Low‑speed orbital shaking can be applied to ensure uniform mixing.
Precautions
For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during handling. This product is for research use only!
