Overview

  The serum-free medium specially for exosomes is a medium used for exosome expression in various cells such as tumor cells and stem cells. No serum needs to be added during cell culture, but growth factors or cytokines may be added in some applications. The serum-free medium contains the main components of serum: adhesion factors, growth factors, essential nutrients, hormones, etc., which can reduce the adverse factors caused by serum and make the cell culture conditions more stable. This medium has an animal-origin-free and serum-free formula. During cell culture, it can achieve the culture state of a complete medium without adding serum, which is beneficial to the harvest of exosomes and suitable for exosome collection from various cell lines and T cells.

Operating Procedures:

1.Mix the serum-free medium specially for exosomes with the additive at a ratio of 20:1 to prepare the complete medium;

2.Culture cells with the complete medium for 24-48 hours continuously. When the cell confluency reaches 80-90%, collect the supernatant to extract exosomes.

3.Notes: The complete medium should be prepared and used immediately. Store it at 2-8°C and use it up within one week; if the additive needs to be prepared multiple times, it is recommended to aliquot and store it frozen.

Notes and Disclaimer:

1.This product is suitable for exosome culture and collection, and can be used as a cell passage medium. The appearance of flocculent substances in the medium after adding the additive is a normal phenomenon, not a contamination, and will not affect cell growth or exosome extraction.
