Overview

In addition to adsorbing substances that 5A molecular sieves can adsorb, 13X molecular sieves can also adsorb CHCl3, CHBr3, CHI3, CCl4, CBr4, C6H6, N-C3F8, C(CH3)4, C(CH3)3OH, sec-butanol, cyclohexane, isoalkanes, toluene, etc. Due to its high catalytic activity, it can be used as a catalyst support. It is mainly used for gas drying and purification, purification of feed gas in air separation units (simultaneous removal of H2O and CO2), desulfurization of liquid hydrocarbons and natural gas (removal of hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans), and as a catalyst support.
