Carbacephems

Description:

A new class of beta-lactam antibiotics similar in structure to the cephalosporins. They differ from cephalosporins, however, in the substitution of a sulfur atom in the dihydrothiazine ring with a methylene group to form a tetrahydropyridine ring.
