GRADE & PURITY Bioactive ? Bioactive grade — verified to retain biological activity in functional assays. Use when the molecule must be functionally active, not just pure. Recombinant ? Recombinant — produced via recombinant expression for defined sequence and consistency. Use for reproducible, animal-free proteins of known origin. ActiBioPure™ ? ActiBioPure™ — Aladdin's premier line for bioactive and recombinant products. Use when both high purity and preserved biological activity are required. High Performance ? High-performance grade with optimized purity and performance characteristics. Use for sensitive analyses where ordinary grades fall short. EnzymoPure™ ? EnzymoPure™ — Aladdin's line of high-quality enzymatic solutions. Use when enzyme purity and defined activity drive assay or process performance. ≥90%(SDS-PAGE) Protein concentration: See COA; ≥500 U/mg protein; expressed in E.coli

Overview

Uridine-5′-diphosphoglucose pyrophosphorylase (UGP) (EC: 2.7.7.9), derived from Leishmania major. It catalyzes the formation of UDP-glucose from UTP and glucose 1-phosphate.This enzyme exhibits high substrate specificity: it cannot utilize other NTPs (e.g., dTTP, CTP, ATP, GTP) or other sugar-1-phosphates (e.g., GlcNAc-1P, Gal-1P, Man-1P) as substrates.

Reaction:

Protocol for Use

  1. Add substrates to the reaction mixture, supplemented with 5 mM MgCl₂. Adjust pH to 7.5–8.5 using an appropriate buffer (e.g., Tris-HCl), then add an appropriate amount of UGP (adjust according to reaction requirements).
  2. Mix thoroughly and incubate at 37°C for 30–60 minutes.

Note: For scaled-up reactions, adjust incubation time or enzyme amount based on actual conditions.

Precautions

For your safety and health, please wear lab coats and disposable gloves when handling. This product is for research use only!
