Overview

Product Describtion:

1-Oleoyl-3-palmitoyl-rac-glycerol is a racemic mixture of an asymmetric diacylglycerol (DAG) that could be useful in biochemical studies. This compound consists of a glycerol molecule that is esterified with the fatty acids palmitic acid and oleic acid at positions 1 and 3. Some DAGs have been reported to activate PKC and act as a source for eicosanoids; however these are typically 1,2 DAGs, which makes this compound a potentially useful analog for such systems.

Product Application:

Diacylglycerol fatty acid ester.
