Artificial Gastric Fluid is a solution that mimics the composition and pH of gastric juice. Artificial Gastric Fluid (USP) follows the formulation specified in the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and is primarily composed of sodium chloride, dilute acid, pepsin, and other components.
Artificial Gastric Fluid (USP, Enzyme-Free, Sterile) consists mainly of dilute acid, salts, and deionized water. It contains no pepsin and is sterilized. This reagent is suitable for testing capsules, enteric-coated tablets, dripping pills, and especially for soft capsules and dripping pills with a gelatin matrix. For research use only. Not for clinical diagnosis or other purposes.
Operating Procedures (For Reference Only)
1. For the testing of capsules, enteric-coated tablets, dropping pills and other preparations, a lifting disintegration tester is generally used. This instrument is mainly composed of a metal support and a basket equipped with baffles.
2. Immerse 6 units of the test capsules, enteric-coated tablets or dropping pills in the artificial gastric fluid. All samples should disintegrate completely within 1 hour. If 1 unit fails to disintegrate fully, another 6 units shall be taken for retesting, and all retested samples must meet the requirements.
3. For other types of experiments, operations shall be performed in accordance with the specific experimental requirements.
Precautions
1. This product is a sterile solution. If sterility is required for the experiment, strict adherence to aseptic techniques is necessary during operation.
2. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing of the reagent to prevent the reduction of its effectiveness.
3. Please use the reagent as soon as possible after opening to avoid affecting the results of subsequent experiments.
4. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during the operation.
