Overview

Bile salt NO.3 is a specially modified and refined bile salt. It functions by reducing the surface tension at the interface between the culture medium and bacterial film, disrupting bacterial cell membranes and accelerating cell autolysis. It is commonly used as a selective inhibitor in microbial culture media to suppress the growth of Gram-positive bacteria.
