Overview

Bis(maltolato)oxovanadium(IV) is a potent insulin mimic. Results have shown that BMOV significantly decreases plasma glucose levels in diabetic rats at all given doses, and restores hyperglycemic values to normal. Bis(maltolato)oxovanadium(IV) inhibits protein tyrosine phosphatases.
