This product is a newly developed rapid, highly sensitive, low-background, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly Coomassie Blue staining solution from Aladdin. It is suitable for rapid protein staining in SDS-PAGE and non-denaturing gels. Protein bands at the nanogram level can be visualized after just 15 minutes of staining, with extremely low background. Further background reduction can be achieved by rinsing with pure water, eliminating the need for toxic destaining solutions.
Rapid and Sensitive: Detect protein bands as low as 10 ng with just 15 minutes of staining. Sensitivity can be further improved by extending staining time.
Low Background: Clear protein bands are visible immediately after staining. Rinsing with pure water further reduces background and improves signal-to-noise ratio.
Environmentally Friendly: Non-toxic formula with no irritating odor, ensuring user safety.
After electrophoresis, rinse the gel in pure water for a few minutes to remove impurities and reduce background.
Discard the water and add sufficient staining solution to cover the gel. Stain on a horizontal shaker at room temperature for 10–15 minutes. For low-abundance proteins, extend the staining time as needed. After staining, discard the solution and rinse with pure water to remove residual dye.
For further background reduction, replace the pure water every 20 minutes and repeat 4–5 times. Alternatively, incubating the stained gel in pure water overnight can achieve even lower background and clearer bands.
This reagent contains volatile compounds. Ensure tight sealing to avoid loss of efficacy.
If protein bands are faint after staining, it may indicate low protein content. Extend staining or rinsing time. Include a positive control during sample loading to validate staining performance.
SDS can interfere with Coomassie Blue-protein binding. Pre-rinse the gel with warm pure water to remove residual SDS for improved staining results.
