DL-Glutamic acid monohydrate is an excitatory amino acid neurotransmitter which acts as an agonist at kainate, NMDA, AMPA and metabotropic glutamatergic receptors. L-Glutamic acid is a proteinogenic amino acid incorporated into proteins as directed by the genetic code. This product is a mixture of D and L isomers of glutamic acid.
