GRADE & PURITY Animal Free ? Animal-free — produced without animal-derived components to reduce contamination risk. Use in biomanufacturing and culture avoiding animal-origin material. Carrier Free ? Carrier-free — supplied without added carrier protein/stabilizer. Use when carriers (e.g. BSA) would interfere with conjugation or sensitive assays. Recombinant ? Recombinant — produced via recombinant expression for defined sequence and consistency. Use for reproducible, animal-free proteins of known origin. ≥90%(SDS-PAGE) expressed in Nicotiana benthamiana

Overview

Through a plant expression platform and purification process, it overcomes the limitations of traditional collagen, such as low homology, high batch-to-batch variation, and the risk of animal-derived contamination. It achieves up to 100% amino acid homology with human collagen and exhibits a structure highly similar to that of human collagen, representing an approximately 1.3-fold improvement over traditional collagen, with low immunogenicity. Batch-to-batch consistency is enhanced by more than 10 times. Meanwhile, the irritancy of this ingredient is significantly reduced. It also inhibits free radical oxidative damage, promotes cell proliferation and migration, enhances the expression of hyaluronic acid and filaggrin, and improves skin barrier repair as well as anti-wrinkle and firming effects.

This product is typically a white or off-white foamy/spongy loose lyophilizate. The molecule adopts a loose helical structure; upon reconstitution, the resulting solution or gel exhibits good spreadability and flexibility, along with excellent water retention capacity and emulsion stability.

Solubility characteristics: soluble under neutral low-salt conditions, and dissolves more rapidly and completely at low pH.

Recommended applications: High-end medical devices (e.g., wound dressings, fillers), functional skin care products (repairing, anti-aging), and pet products.
