Overview

Product Introduction
In the field of biological research, red blood cell removal is often required. Common methods for red blood cell removal include using ACK Lysis Buffer, Tris-ammonium chloride red blood cell lysis buffer, Gey's Lysis Buffer, etc. Before lysing red blood cells, PBS can be used to wash the red blood cells, or a dedicated red blood cell washing solution can be applied to ensure thorough cell cleaning.

Red Blood Cell Washing Solution (pH 7.2) is a sterile solution mainly composed of phosphate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, and other components. This reagent is for research use only and not intended for clinical diagnosis or any other purposes.

Operating Procedures (For Reference Only)
1. Take fresh anticoagulated blood, centrifuge at 1000×g for 5 minutes, and discard the plasma.
2. Add red blood cell washing solution (pH 7.2) in a volume 5 times that of the cell pellet, and wash the cells for 2–3 times.

Precautions
1. If the subsequent experiment involves cell culture, strict aseptic technique should be followed during the operation, preferably performed in a laminar flow hood.
2. Centrifugation steps should be carried out in a centrifuge pre-cooled to 4°C as much as possible.
3. After centrifugation and washing, trace amounts of residual red blood cells generally will not interfere with subsequent assays.
4. Please use the reagent as soon as possible after opening to avoid compromising the results of subsequent experiments.
5. For your safety and health, wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
