Overview

Ribavirin is a non-interferon-inducing, broad spectrum antiviral nucleoside. Ribavirin is reported to be active against RSV, HIV, HCV, and other infectious agents. The compound’s metabolite, ribavirin-5′-phosphate, inhibits inosine monophosphate (IMP) dehydrogenase.
