Overview
Laccase is a copper-containing polyphenol oxidase belonging to the multicopper oxidase family. It is widely distributed in fungi and higher plants, possessing strong redox potential, and has extensive applications in biopulping, environmental pollutant degradation, lignocellulosic decomposition, and biotechnological detection. This product is suitable for detecting soil samples. In this assay kit, laccase (SL) catalyzes the oxidation of the substrate ABTS, producing the ABTS radical, which has a significantly higher absorption coefficient at 420 nm compared to the substrate ABTS. By measuring the rate of increase of the ABTS radical at 420 nm, the laccase activity can be calculated.
