Overview
THP-SS-PEG1-Tos is a cleavable PEG derivative containing a THP protecting group and a tosyl end group. Both the THP and tosyl groups are used as alcohol protecting groups. The disulfide bonds can be cleaved via a reduction reaction using Dithiothreitol (DTT) reagent. The hydrophilic PEG chain increases the water solubility of the compound in aqueos media.
