5-Aminoorotic acid forms complexes with cerium (III), lanthanum (III) and neodymium (III)[1]. It reacts with dianhydride of ethylenedinitrilotetraacetic acid in dry DMF or DMSO to yield functionalized dicarboxamide derivatives
