Can cell lysate lysed cells be followed by immunoprecipitation?
No. Cell lysate for immunoprecipitation is a lysate that lyses cells under non-denaturing conditions. Conventional RIPA lyses contain SDS, which can denature proteins and affect protein interactions. Lysates that do not contain denaturing agents are recommended for immunoprecipitation.
