Overview

RNase Inhibitor, Murine is a recombinant murine RNase inhibitor purified from E. coli. It non-competitively binds to RNase A, B, or C at a 1:1 ratio to inhibit their activity, thereby protecting RNA from degradation. Unlike human-derived inhibitors, it lacks two oxidation-sensitive cysteines, exhibiting superior antioxidant stability and compatibility with DTT-sensitive applications. Ideal for cDNA first-strand synthesis, in vitro transcription, and cell-free translation systems.

Applications

Protects RNA by suppressing RNase activity in:

Precautions

1. pH Sensitivity:

   • Maximal activity at pH 7.0–8.0. Reduced efficiency outside neutral range.

2. Handling:

   • Avoid vigorous vortexing or agitation (causes irreversible denaturation).

3. Specificity:

   • Does not inhibit RNase H activity.

4. Safety:

   • Wear lab coats, masks, and disposable gloves during use.
