TelN Protelomerase, whose Chinese name is TelN Prokaryotic telomerase, is cloned from phage N15, which cuts dsDNA at the recognition site TelRL (56bp), The TelRL site consists of a palindromic sequence TelO in the middle and a palindromic sequence R3 and L3 at both ends of 14bp (Fig.1), and leaves a covalently closed end at the cleavage site, thus effectively converting circular DNA into linear DNA with hairpin ends (Fig.2).
