Cat. No.: P1509552
AVAILABLE TO ORDER
GRADE & PURITY Sterile-filtered ? Sterile-filtered — passed through a 0.2µm filter to remove microorganisms. Use as a ready aseptic solution for culture and sensitive applications. BioReagent ? BioReagent grade — tested suitable for life-science and molecular-biology use. Use for cell culture, assays, and biochemical work needing biological compatibility. Low Endotoxin ? Low-endotoxin grade — endotoxin reduced to low controlled levels. Use in sensitive biological work where high endotoxin would interfere. for Cell culture ? Cell-culture grade — low endotoxin and contaminants to support viable cell growth. Use in mammalian/other cell culture media and supplements.

Overview

PBS (pH 7.4, Sterile) is a phosphate-buffered saline solution that has undergone filtration sterilization and endotoxin testing, suitable for routine applications such as cell culture.
This product contains 155.2 mM NaCl, 1.059 mM KH₂PO₄, and 2.967 mM Na₂HPO₄, with a pH value of 7.4±0.1 and an endotoxin content of less than 1 EU/ml. Its formulation is basically consistent with that of the 10010 series PBS from Gibco, a brand of Thermo Fisher Scientific. This reagent is for research use only and not intended for clinical diagnosis or any other purposes.
Operating Procedures (for reference only)
  Ready-to-use, no preparation required.
Precautions
1. When washing cells during cell culture, ensure aseptic operation to avoid microbial contamination.
2. The PBS buffer does not contain calcium ions and is less prone to precipitation. If precipitation occurs, incubate the solution in a warm bath until the precipitate dissolves. Discard the solution if a large amount of precipitate forms.
3. Please use the reagent as soon as possible after opening to avoid affecting the results of subsequent experiments.
4. For your safety and health, wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
