Overview

Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), also known as orgotein, is a bio-derived active substance that eliminates harmful substances produced during metabolic processes in organisms. With free-radical-scavenging activity, SOD exerts anti-aging, immunomodulatory, lipid-regulating, blood-glucose-regulating, anti-radiation and skin-beautifying effects.

This product is recombinant human copper-zinc superoxide dismutase (rh-Cu/Zn-SOD). It is produced by fermentation of engineered Komagataella phaffii (formerly Pichia pastoris), followed by separation, purification and lyophilization to obtain lyophilized powder.

Product Advantages

Animal-origin free: Free of animal viruses, pathogenic substances and exogenous factor contamination, featuring high safety.
High purity: Elevated specific activity; residual host protein content complies with the limits specified for biological products.
Complies with the standards of Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2020 Edition and USP 43.
Compliance: Production facilities and environment meet relevant regulatory requirements and GMP guidelines.
Complete quality documentation: Relevant regulatory supporting documents are available upon customer request.

Recommended Application Methods

Cosmetics: Add directly to the aqueous phase of cosmetic formulations at a temperature below 40 °C in the final preparation stage. The recommended dosage is 100 U–1000 U per gram of cosmetic base.Other applications: Dosage can be adjusted as appropriate.

Product Applications

Cosmetics: Absorbs ultraviolet rays to deliver prominent sun protection. Effectively scavenges free radicals to prevent skin aging, reduces melanin accumulation and fades pigmentation spots. It also inhibits sebum secretion and relieves acne.
Health supplements: Eliminates free radicals and harmful substances to boost human immunity.
Food: Possesses anti-inflammatory properties, and can be used as a food preservative as well as a fresh-keeping agent for fruits and vegetables.

Transportation & Storage Stability

Transportation: Shipped with ice packs to maintain constant activity during transit.
Storage: Store at −15 ~ −20 °C; stable for up to 24 months. When formulated into solutions with enzyme concentration above 1 mg/mL using Tris-HCl buffer (pH 6.0–8.0), the product remains stable for at least 48 hours at 4 °C.

Precautions & Disclaimer

This product is hygroscopic. Please let it equilibrate to room temperature before use.
This product is for research and production use only. It shall not be used for the diagnosis or treatment of humans and animals, and is prohibited from direct application to human bodies.
