CAS: 9007-34-5 Cat. No.: rp336830 EC Number: 232-697-4
AVAILABLE TO ORDER
GRADE & PURITY Animal Free ? Animal-free — produced without animal-derived components to reduce contamination risk. Use in biomanufacturing and culture avoiding animal-origin material. Carrier Free ? Carrier-free — supplied without added carrier protein/stabilizer. Use when carriers (e.g. BSA) would interfere with conjugation or sensitive assays. Recombinant ? Recombinant — produced via recombinant expression for defined sequence and consistency. Use for reproducible, animal-free proteins of known origin. Low Endotoxin ? Low-endotoxin grade — endotoxin reduced to low controlled levels. Use in sensitive biological work where high endotoxin would interfere. ≥95%(SDS-PAGE)

Overview

Recombinant Human Type XVII Collagen is 100% human-homologous, featuring high biocompatibility and excellent safety (cell viability reaches 99.74% at a concentration of 10 mg/mL).
Specifically expressed in the basement membrane of the hair follicle bulge region, this collagen serves as the core structural and signaling hub that maintains hair follicle stem cell function. It exerts dual effects of structural support and signal transduction: it not only stabilizes the adhesion of hair follicle stem cells and reconstructs the scaffold of the hair follicle microenvironment, but also activates the Wnt/β-catenin pathway (with WNT10B expression increased by 278.7%) and upregulates VEGF (increased to 92.4% of the model group). This awakens dormant hair follicle stem cells, promotes angiogenesis, remodels the hair follicle growth cycle, fundamentally improves hair loss, and achieves hair follicle regeneration and repair.
In terms of applications, it can be used to develop products such as daily care hair growth serums/gels, active coating solutions for microneedle delivery, and post-hair transplant repair kits, suitable for scenarios including home care for mild to moderate hair loss, combined aesthetic medical treatment, and post-transplant hair care.
