Knowledge of ESR measurement principles and techniques
Operation method
Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) Measurement Experiment
Principle
A certain amount of anticoagulant is added to the blood, inhaled into a special sedimentation tube, and the number of millimeters of erythrocytes sinking is recorded within a limited period of time.
Materials and Instruments
Sodium Citrate Solution Move l. Place 0.4 mL of 3.8% sodium citrate solution in clean test tubes and vials. For more product details, please visit Aladdin Scientific website.
Hematocrit Tubes Hematocrit Stands
2. 1.6 mL of blood was collected from a vein and added to the anticoagulation vial and mixed homogeneously.
3. Suck the blood into the hemocoagulation tube at "0", do not make bubbles.
4. Place the tube vertically in the hemoprecipitation rack and leave it at room temperature for 1 hour.
5. Calculation: Read the distance from the concave surface of plasma to the top surface of the red blood cell column as the hematocrit result Reference value: male <15mm/h female <20mm/h
