This product is a broad-spectrum phosphatase inhibitor that effectively suppresses various phosphatases present in cells, including Serine/Threonine Phosphatase, Tyrosine Phosphatase, Acid Phosphatase, and Alkaline Phosphatase.
It contains 8 potent phosphatase inhibitors:
1. Sodium fluoride
2. Sodium orthovanadate
3. Sodium molybdate
4. Sodium tartrate
5. Imidazole
6. Sodium pyrophosphate decahydrate
7. β-Glycerophosphate
8. Cantharidin
This comprehensive formulation provides superior phosphatase inhibition compared to conventional products (typically containing only 3–4 inhibitors).
Protocol
1. Applicable to various protein quantification or activity analysis experiments (e.g., Western Blot, Co-IP, Pull-down, IF, IHC) to inhibit phosphatase activity.
2. Dilute the inhibitor cocktail 1:100 (v/v) into the target solution (e.g., cell lysis buffer, protein extraction buffer).
Precautions
1. When used in combination with protease inhibitors, avoid protease inhibitors containing EDTA, as EDTA may significantly impair the efficacy of certain components in this phosphatase inhibitor cocktail. Note that this cocktail already contains multiple chelating agents.
2. This product is a high-concentration solution. Long-term storage may result in the formation of trace crystalline precipitate, which is normal and does not affect experimental results.
3. The recommended dilution ratio of 1:100 is suitable for general use. If the sample contains high levels of phosphatases, increase the concentration of the inhibitor cocktail accordingly.
4. For safety, wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during handling. All inhibitors are toxic to humans—avoid direct skin contact. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If ingested, seek medical attention immediately.
5. For research use only.
