Summary
NADPH-Cytochrome C (P-450) is a heme protein that is a terminal oxidase due to the fact that when it is in its reduced form, it combines with carbon monoxide to form a ferrous carbonyl adduct. It has a maximum absorption peak at 450 nm in visible light, so it is named cytochrome P-450, and other natural heme is the same, the iron atoms in the molecule are in the form of a conformer with protoporphyrin IX, and the liver is richer in cytochrome P-450-containing enzymes.
