The species mentioned in the specification of the antibody are confirmed, but there is no guarantee that the antibody can be used on unvalidated species, even if there is a high degree of homology in the sequence comparison. There are many factors involved in whether an antibody will recognize proteins in samples from other species, and we cannot make predictions. If there is no other option and you must consider purchasing an antibody for use in an unproven species, we recommend that you compare the immunogen sequence with the sequence of your target protein, as a high degree of homology will increase the likelihood of success. If you purchase an antibody for use in an unvalidated species or experimental application, product replacement or refund is generally not available.
